Methodology & source
Eurostat Comext DS-045409; EU27_2020 reporter; IMPORT flow; identified extra-EU country suppliers; monthly observations for January–June 2025 and January–June 2026. Scope is strictly CN8 85414200, covering photovoltaic cells not assembled in modules or made up into panels. Trade value is reported in EUR. QUANTITY_IN_100KG was multiplied by 100 to obtain net mass in kg. Rankings exclude EU27 members, WORLD, geographic aggregates and special/pseudo partners. Official extra-EU aggregates are retained separately; residuals are disclosed and not redistributed. CN8 85414300 photovoltaic cells assembled in modules or panels are excluded. The product does not represent total photovoltaic equipment, EU production, consumption or installed capacity.
2026 figures currently cover January through June. Trade statistics may be revised by Eurostat after initial publication. No total-market size is inferred.
