Scope limitation: Selected CN8 import flows do not measure total EU market size, domestic production, consumption, sales, installed capacity or unit counts. Country or territory partners do not identify individual companies, manufacturers or final end-use sectors. Supplier H1 totals sum published observations. Incomplete coverage limits direct comparisons. Missing is not zero. Value per kilogram is not a transaction price or a price index; product mix, partner mix and valuation can affect it. Observed changes do not establish causes or forecasts. The annual code comparison supports CN8 scope comparability, not a claim that all tariff conditions or general legal notes are identical. Methodology & source
Source: Eurostat Comext DS-045409; EU27_2020; IMPORT; official EXT_EU27_2020. This edition uses only the Principal-approved extraction ZIP. Scope: CN8 85030010, 85030020, 85030091 and 85030098. January–June 2025 versus January–June 2026. No annual estimate. Headline totals: Sum official monthly extra-EU aggregates across the four codes. Supplier observations are components of those totals and must never be added again. Units: Approved normalized values are already EUR or kg. QUANTITY_IN_100KG is retained only as the original indicator identifier. No mass conversion is performed during commercial production. Rankings: Identified non-EU countries and territories only. H1 totals sum observed cells. An entirely absent H1 is not ranked or displayed as zero. Ordinal ranks sort by amount descending, then partner code for ties. Coverage: Coverage is observed CN8/month cells out of 6 per code or 24 combined, separately by indicator. It does not prove that absent cells are zero or confidential. Supplier comparisons can have incomplete or unequal coverage. Country universe: 102 partners with at least one observed country cell anywhere in the selected scope are retained across every code, month and indicator. 124 source-domain country codes with no observations anywhere are omitted, not set to zero. Missing data: The commercial CSV and workbook Data tab retain 10,176 cells: 2,882 observed and 7,294 missing. Missing values remain blank with source missing status. All 2,682 observed non-EU country cells are preserved. Statistical components: QP and QW are separate statistical components. QP has no observed cells. QW has 76 observed cells. QV has 28 observed cells, is labelled QV_EXCLUDED and is excluded from extra-EU totals and rankings. No residual is allocated. Reconciliation: All 96 monthly official controls reconcile exactly with observed identified suppliers plus applicable observed statistical components in the approved extraction. Empty observed sums are arithmetic subtotals, not imputed observations. Shares and concentration: Use the official extra-EU denominator for the same indicator, code scope and period. Top 3/5 use the first 3/5 ranked partners. Combined shares divide by the sum of four official code totals. CN comparability: Annual CN 2025 and CN 2026 annexes contain the same four codes and heading/subheading descriptions.
