Three electricity-meter CN8 codes
90283011: AC single-phase; 90283019: AC multiphase; 90283090: other electricity meters excluding AC. EU27 extra-EU IMPORT, H1 2025 versus H1 2026. The scope is not restricted to smart meters.
Scope limitation: This scope measures EU27 extra-EU imports under three electricity-meter CN8 codes. It does not measure total EU consumption, domestic production, company sales, installed meters or smart-meter adoption. Electricity meters are not exclusively smart meters. The classification does not isolate smart functionality. Parts, gas/water meters and electricity generation equipment are excluded. Supplier labels identify countries and statistical jurisdictions, not companies. Source labels do not imply sovereignty assertions. H1 supplier amounts sum observed CN8/month cells. Partial coverage is explicitly disclosed. Missing observations are unknown, not verified zeros. Entirely unobserved H1 suppliers receive no numeric rank. Import value and net mass can move differently because of product and partner composition or valuation. This does not establish transaction-price changes, demand causes or forecasts. Eurostat can revise historical observations. Figures are frozen to the source update of 16 October 2026. CN comparability is supported by year-specific institutional Idescat classifications and their legal attribution. Full EUR-Lex annex retrieval returned empty HTTP 202 responses. No claim of identical tariff conditions or all legal notes is made.

Source: Eurostat Comext DS-045409. Reporter EU27_2020; flow IMPORT; official partner EXT_EU27_2020. Source update 2026-10-16T11:00:00+0200. Scope: CN8 90283011, 90283019 and 90283090. January-June 2025 versus January-June 2026; no annual extrapolation. Totals: Official monthly extra-EU controls only. Country and statistical components must never be added to official totals. Units: Raw QUANTITY_IN_100KG is measured in 100 kg. Approved normalized mass is already kg. Commercial production uses normalized values without further conversion. Rankings: Identified eligible suppliers only, sorted by observed H1 EUR descending and partner code for ties. QA is Qatar. Entirely unobserved H1 values are not ranked. Coverage: Six possible monthly value observations per CN8; 18 combined. Counts are indicator-specific. Partial observed sums are not fully covered H1 comparisons. Shares: Supplier shares and Top 3/Top 5 concentration use the corresponding official extra-EU H1 EUR denominator. Combined scope sums three code controls. Missing: All 20,016 approved positions are retained: 3,560 observed and 16,456 missing. Missing source and normalized values stay blank. Partner roles: QW is separate extra-EU statistical context, never a supplier rank. QV, EU27 members, intra-EU and other non-additive categories are excluded. Other special codes retain approved classifications. Reconciliation: 72/72 monthly code/indicator controls reconcile exactly using original precision. No residual is redistributed. Classification: The three code descriptions match in Idescat CN 2025/2026, associated with Regulations (EU) 2024/2522 and 2025/1926. Full EUR-Lex text retrieval was unavailable.
